Pressure Washers – Consider The Best Steam Cleaners For Hospital Cleaning
Consider The Best Steam Cleaners For Hospital Cleaning
Steam cleaning machines are widely used in healthcare and hospitality industries. There are two main reasons why both the management and the cleaning professionals in these industries prefer steam cleaning equipment.
The first reason is these machines can clean a variety of hard surfaces efficiently. The second is that the best machines have anti-bacterial technology used to eliminate bacteria and germs present on the surface. This aspect is particularly useful in hospitals and nursing homes, as well as in hotels and restaurants.
Tips on Selecting a Good Steam Cleaner
If you search the internet, you will find numerous suppliers of steam cleaning machines, and each supplier has a number of models. In addition, there are several categories of steam cleaning machines as well. You can expect to find several models within the vapor steam cleaner, floor steam cleaner, portable steam cleaner, and industrial steam cleaner categories.
You may not be sure about which model is suitable for cleaning applications in the healthcare and hospitality industry. To complicate the matter, many categories have common characteristics. Therefore, the best method when choosing a cleaning machine is based on features. There are two essential features a steam cleaning machine should have for cleaning hospitals, clinics, nursing homes, and other healthcare facilities:
1. HEPA Filtration Systems
2. Anti-Bacterial Technology
HEPA Filters
HEPA is short for High Efficiency Particulate Air. In simple terms, it can absorb even the smallest of dust particles and allergens. Ordinary filters cannot trap such small particles. A steam cleaning machine equipped with an HEPA filter can clean and sanitize the surface while ensuring no dust particles or allergens are reintroduced into the indoor air environment.
Merely selecting a steam cleaning system with any HEPA filters may not help. Two broad categories of HEPA filters exist: true HEPA filters and HEPA-type filters.
True filters can absorb particles with a size of 0.3 micrometer. That means these filters can eliminate more than 99 percent of dust particles in a room. In places such as hospitals, nursing homes, clinics, and healthcare faciliti

es, where cleanliness is necessary, steam cleaning machines with true HEPA filters are mandatory for the health and safety of doctors, patients, and guests.
HEPA type filters can only absorb dust particles with a minimum size of 1 micrometer. That means these filters absorb just about 90 percent of the dust particles in a room. This may be enough for normal cleaning jobs, but not for cleaning jobs where hygiene is essential.
Anti Bacterial Technology
Steam cleaning machines have temperatures as high as 360°F. While many manufacturers boast that these high temperatures kill bacteria, they are not efficient in removing all harmful bacteria and pathogens. To effectively eliminate germs and bacteria, one has to select steam cleaning machines with specialized anti bacterial technology for cleaning hospitals and hotels.
Top systems with anti bacterial technology are tested by independent laboratory tests to prove efficiency in killing more than 99 percent of bacteria and fungi. Tests have proven this technology is effective in eliminating the threat of Escherichia coli, listeria, and salmonella.
When selecting a steam cleaner for hospital cleaning, remember that anti-bacterial technology and HEPA filtration are essential features to ensure the health and safety of doctors, patients, and visitors. Eliminate bacteria and create a healthy environment with today’s top steam cleaning systems.

Over the years, companies have introduced new technologies and mechanical changes to pressure washers. Because of this, there are a variety of models and categories available today. These include commercial, industrial, steam, cold water pressure washers, and hot water machines to name a few.
Some of the latest models are classified based on the technologies they feature. Several new technologies make using these pressure cleaners far easier than older, conventional models. Some of these technologies include: low flow technology, tri-mode functionality, and super-high steam temperatures. However, there is one technology that stands above the rest – automatic shut-down.
What Is This Technology?
Preferred by cleaning professionals and all users of electric commercial pressure washers and industrial pressure washers, automatic shut-down technology reduces wear and tear on key components to prolong the machine’s life. To understand this technology fully, one needs to know how a pressure washer works.
Functioning of a Pressure Washer
A pressure washer device pumps water at various temperature levels (cold water, hot water, or steam) across surfaces at high pressure levels to wash away the dirt, dust, stains, and other impurities.
The high levels of pressure are obtained through a pump, which pumps water through a nozzle onto the surface. A gasoline or propane engine or an electric motor powers the pump. The output is ejected onto the surface through a trigger gun connected to the actual machine through a pressure hose.
A Practical Problem
In conventional pressure washer machines, the operator can stop the output flow by using the trigger of the gun. However, even if there is no output flow, the machine’s pump and motor are still on. To reduce wear, the operator must return to the machine during each break to switch it off.
This is highly inconvenient when cleaning large buildings and areas with long hoses. The operator may even want to stop the work temporarily. Either the machine stays on or the operator must go back to shut the machine off each time. The latter option is inconvenient. The former option is harmful to the machine, as it may suffer much wear and tear and may result in wastage of power.
A Solution
Automatic shut-down technology offers a solution to this problem. Like all pressure cleaners, operation of the machine is controlled through the trigger gun. However, when the machine is not in use for more than 30 seconds, machines with this technology shut down automatically. When the trigger is squeezed again, the machine starts up.
This technology allows the operators to shut the machine on and off for temporary work stoppages. This functionality effectively reduces wear and tear on the pump and motor, the key components of the machine. A reduction in wear translates to greater longevity.
It is important to note that this technology is only available in electric versions of tri-mode, hot water, cold water, and steam pressure washers. To learn more about this advanced technology, search the internet for trusted suppliers of high quality pressure cleaning systems
